About Our Client Requirements

Ottasilver client want to enhance their ecommerce site with new functionality to better serve customers and improve business operations. Key requirements include building out timed announcements and special offers, implementing dynamic size guides for custom product options, developing separate order grids for vendors, streamlining attribute management across categories, creating multiple product page layouts, and integrating stamped.io reviews.

To support marketing initiatives, Ottasilver has requested the development of countdown announcements on the homepage to highlight upcoming promotions. Additionally, the team aims to simplify promotion creation by allowing timed special offer banners to be scheduled and managed from the admin dashboard. On the technical side, the company is looking to centralize vendor purchase order data with manufacturer-specific order grids for simplified reporting. By tailoring attribute value sets by jewelry category, Ottasilver can reduce redundant data entry. With multiple product page templates, the team can A/B test innovative gallery layouts to enhance the shopping experience. Integrating Stamped review functionality aims to build trust and social proof. Overall, these solutions focus on enhancing customer service, segmenting data, and streamlining ecommerce operations.

Solutions We Deliver to Client

To empower timed promotions, we built an Announcement & Countdown extension allowing admin-scheduled recurring countdowns with unique coupon codes per user or sitewide. This simplifies promotion creation for marketing teams. For dynamic size guides, our solution displays custom block content per product option in pop-up widgets, set by editors via text boxes in the admin.

We also created separate Vendor Order Grids to display purchase data for selected manufacturers and columns based on user roles. Our Attribute Manager extension allows conditional product attribute values to be set globally by category or individually per product as needed, reducing redundant data entry. Additionally, alternate product page layouts were enabled through a gallery type attribute, with the ability to switch between default and customizable designs. Lastly, Stamped.io integration was implemented for open review collection to build trust and social engagement. Together, these solutions empower vendor & inventory segmentation, targeted promotions, streamlined content editing, and maximized customer experience.

The key focus areas were enhancing self-service marketing capabilities, simplifying operations, and delivering flexibility to administer data while maintaining custom presentation needs.

Challenges We Faced

Challenging part of the website is admin. They want to manage admin user order grid columns with restrictions and manufacturers. So for that, we did research and came up with a solution like make one extension where they can select order columns and select manufacturer so based on that selection, we make a new order grid in admin and display only order columns which are selected by administrators and filter order by selected manufacturer.

Another challenge for us is that they want common product attribute values with product conditions they set from admin, so we did some research and made an extension where they can select attributes and conditions and set common values, but before load product, set those values in the product object with a common value.
